Brenda and the boys and Faith came down monday to tuesday. It was nice to see them. There are some pic's below of Faith in my parents 'cool tub'. She's so cute and sweet, I just wanna kiss those checks all the time.

Well 9 more days still I am off camping for a much needed vacation. I can't wait. Friday is my last day for 2 weeks. The people that I'm baby sitting for are leaving out east for 2 weeks and it's the same time I'm going camping. I can't wait. Only 8 more sleeps ladies.

Toby Has Finally Been Saved!!!!!

Remember when I posted a web site about a cute bunny named "Toby"? It was a while back... well I just went there now and this dude didn't eat the bunny. But I know that it was just a scame so he could have the money. It's funny to read what these people wrote though. But the even funnier stuff is that theses stupid people actually fell for this and gave the guy money. Oh man stupid people make me laugh.

YMCA

Yesterday was the last day of day care ( I go back come sept). I am really going to miss all those kids this summer. I had a blast, I learned so much there. I've been working with kids since I was 14 so for almost 9 years and in all those years, I learned quite a bit but working for the YMCA I've learned that much more. I had a blast working with my co-workers ( even though one might be leaving..stephine...don't) the kids, I can't even explain how much those children mean to me. I've become attached to all the children there and even the parents I 've really grown to respect and love. It's amazing and sometimes over whelming knowing that this is where God wants me to be and that I've found my knack in life at a young age. I feel really blessed. *sigh*

Aight, so this summer i am baby sitting a girl, i start at 11am-5 or 6 pm. I drive for 40 mins but i am totally excited about baby sitting her. We are going to go shopping, swimming, biking and the best of all we are going to build a bear. ohhh we are both so excited. This girl is 8, and so much fun to be with. I start Tuesday so I have a few days off which is nice.

Today I was at work cleaning, up the daycare, everything needs to be disinfected and put away for the summer, so i cleaned for 7 hours ( got paid though so all good) . I am physically exhausted. We had to take all the chairs and table and sensory bin and art easel and anything else you can think of we disinfected and put out into the hall ways of the school, so the room can cleaned and our rugs steamed.... i can't wait come Sept to put the class room back together and start fresh.... I'm so looking forward to going back to work Sept 5th.

so now what do I do for the next 4 days, clean my apartment, do some laundry and sleep sleep sleep. so nice not having to get up at 6:30 every morning.

but now i am off to chilax on the couch with Matty.

2:00pm this saturday afternoon, my unlce Bill will be taken off he respirator. He was getting better but now he has taken a turn for the worse. His body can no longer fight for his life. Jesus may be taking my unlce home, soon. Please pray for my aunt and my cousins and there children as a loved one is been taken away.

6 months and still going strong

6 months ago today, we were just married. Where has the time gone. I cannot believe we've been married for 6 months. It's been really great though. I can't complaine. God surly has been keeping us strong. But for our 6 month wedding anniversary Matt took me out for breakfast, which I thought was really sweet of him. :0) Also this coming saturday, he has something planned for me, he's not telling me, cause he knows surpises kill me and drive me insane. haha oh well.

But that's all for now I've been a busy beaver, working 2 jobs now and all. But I will write sometime this week about Jill and I and how much fun we had when she was down. But here are a few pic's just to see how much fun we had.

Yesterday on March 28, 2006 at 5:12pm my sister had a little girl named Faith Breanne. 9lbs 3oz, Brenda and Faith are doing good, and I can't wait to meet my little niece. So Haden and Garrett have a little sister. Picture's will come later. But my brother in law, is just so excited and just can't stop talking about Faith.

I am going up tonight after work with mom, dad and Marlene to see my new niece. I can't wait and I don't know if I can control my excitment anymore. Update #4 on my uncle

So where do I begin. Well, my uncle Bill had a mild heart attack, his body is refusing oxygen and he has pneumonia, and he's on life support. So my uncle is just a big mess and we don't know what's going to happen. This afternoon my mom and dad went to go pick up my one of my cousins from the hospital and my mom saw my aunt Margaret and she isn't do good, she just a wreck, and I feel bad for her and my cousins and there kids, but there isn't anything we can do. Praying sometimes seems pointless b/c we want an answer now and we want result now...well at least I know I do. But God only knows best. So keep on praying is about all we can do now.

My Uncle Bill isn't doing good at all. The family was called in. He had trouble breathing. My mom noticed that after church my Aunt Margaret had called and so my mom called back and Regina (my aunt's sister) answered the phone and said that the family had been called in. So now we are just waiting and praying.

So I'm talking to my mom right now and she said that my cousin Richard just called my mom and dad's place, and mom said Uncle Bill isn't doing good. He is on dialysis cuz his kidney isn't working, so I kind of feel un easy and kind of sick to my stomach, so just keep praying for my uncle and my aunt and cousins.

Our sanity is here to stay

So our kitty Calli finally went into the vet today to get spayed. No more cat inheat and driving up bonkers. Matt and I get to keep our sanity. YES!!!! She when in this morning and done by around 11:30, she's doing good and we can pick her up tomorrow anytime after 11am. Can't wait to pick her up. I know it's only been one day but I miss her already. I miss picking her up and kissing her and hugging her and hearing her loudness of a purr. She really is the best cat ever. But only 14 more hours till I get to see my little spaz.

Say WHAT?

Hey my peeps, that read this. Nothing really has been going on in the life of Mary Riker. Basically work, cleaning, and eating. Matt's been getting a lot of shifts... a lot of night shifts. Which we both don't really like, but hey it's work and it pays the bills so beggars can't be choosers. I haven't seen Matt too much these days, cause when he work from 11pm-7am, he comes home and I'm gone already and he sleeps till 1-2 in the afternoon and I'm gone again at 2:30 to go back to work. I back home at 6:15pm and sometimes he works the 7pm-7am or 7pm-11pm. But I've been keeping myself busy at my mom and dad in there new HOT TUB!!!! Yeah that's right my mom and dad have hot tub and let me tell you. It's great. It's so relaxing and wonderful. I went there yesterday to see it and take a dip or two, and mmmmm it's so relaxing.

So who ordered this weather? I was really enjoying this spring weather and now it's cold again...blah. I mean I don't mind the snow I just don't like driving in it. Makes me nervous just thinking about it. Because I've been in the ditched 3 times in the winter while someone is driving so I'm not too crazy about winter driving. But I do love the look of it and playing in it. Making snowmen and catching snowflakes in our mouths. That's what I do with my kids at daycare... not Matt and but could you imagine Matt and I catching snow flakes in our mouth. hahahha makes me laugh just thinking about it.

My sister Brenda is due soon. Another month or so to go and I get to meet my little niece or nephew. I just got an e-mail from her saying we can come over this Saturday for my bro in laws birthday and I think Matt is working so I will just go up with mom and dad, assuming they are going which I'm sure they are. Well that's how exciting my life is right now.

3 months today

As of right now we have been married for 3 months. Seems alot longer, maybe cause we see each other all the time and talk all the time. I don't know, married life is stil great and I love being with Matt and married to him. But here is one of my favorite wedding pictuers of us.

Walmart

Well on Thursday Jan 19, 2006 a new Walmart is opening here in Welland. The old walmart was attached to the mall here but now it's expanding and it's bigger and I going to go shopping with my mom, my 2 sisters, Marlene and Brenda and my 2 cousin Barb and Cimmy to go check it out. I've been studying the map of the new walmart (yeah I know I'm a geek) and it's on my fridge. I cannot wait to see this new HUGEastic Walmart.

Good-Bye 2005

Well I look back now and 2005 sure has flown by. I think this past year was by far the best year for me. HA only cause I got engaged and married in 2005. But it's been an eventful year and I just wondering what the Lord has in store for Matt and I in the year 2006.

Well it’s snowing like a mad man here. It looks really pretty out. Almost tempted to go out and walk to the river and back with the dog. I think I might just do that.

Well it’s New Year’s Eve and we aren't doing much. Matt is working from 3-11 and I am here at my mom and dad's so I at least won't be bored sitting at our apartment doing nothing. So Matt dropped me off before he headed to work at 3. So here I sit typing in my blog.

Well this is all I have to say for now.

Today is my birthday and according to my kids at work I’m 40...um that's a little depressing when you are only 23...well there kids are only 8 so can't blame them.

So I am at my mom and dad's right now, Matt had to work from 3-11, so last night matt made chocolate cake mmmm it was good. And today he got me a book "chicken noodle soup for the soul” but it's the bride addition and I love those books and a cute card and some chocolate. My mommy got me a cleaning bucket which I’m so excited to use and some cleaning things and some ornaments from the dollar store. Then we went shopping and mommy bought me some lunch, so I had a good birthday.

Well I was just going to write a funny story about my mom but it won’t be funny because you really had to be there, so let's just say it involves my mom a buggy and some signs at the mall.

Weekend

So I'm sitting on the computer checking the daily blogs that I have booked marked, and I realized that I haven't blogged on mine since the end of nov. And it's dec already. And 2 days till I'm 23. So here I sit blabling away on my blog. I'm getting excited, for my birthday, even though I don't do anything special. I just like the family gatherings that could happen. That's why I love birthday and holidays (like Christmas) My parents house get filled with ppl and you just chat laugh and play board games and it's just so much fun. I love my family.

So this past weekend was a BLAST!!!! I went out with my brother and sister, Chris and Marlene, and we just hung out ate and talked and I loved it. Matt was working the night shift all weekend so I was at my mom and dad's. I went and picked up my sister at 6:30 from Eastgate mall in Hamilton, then from there we went to my brother’s place, in Grimsby and hung out there and talked and laugh then we hit the town. I got back to my mom and dad's at 1:15am and BOY did we have a blast. I haven't came home that early in the morning since Highschool. I can't wait to go out with Chris and Marlene again. It was truly and fun evening. So that was Friday.

Saturday, Marlene and I slept till 9:30am got up and dressed and went to the Pen Centre with my mom dad and the family dog Ruby. That late afternoon dad and mom put up the Christmas tree and we all decorated it, while watching Red Skelton, the comedian, on DVD.

Sunday, mom, dad and Marlene went to my church and saw my uncle and aunt there, so we sat with them and chit chatted, and Matt came over after he was done sleeping and recovering from his night shift. We played card games and stupid game called concentration, and if you know me and Marlene we don't know how to concentrate on anything let alone a card game. But if was fun and we did have alot of laughs. This past weekend was great.

Work is still fabulous as always, and now I'm off to watch my cooking shows before I head out back to work.
